could you put quote in paths please, as my win7 files are in 'd:\files seven' and your software cannot find it so.
thanks!

As x-layer said, your installation source might have a porblem. Anyways could you post your imagesinfo.xml and I will compare it with x-layer's. I might find a solution for this problem.
1) the source i tried first doesn't even create an imageinfo.xml file.
2) the second souce i tried does work until i enter some changes in the tabs and hit apply, then i get the same error message as with the first source.
however the imagesinfo.xml was created:
<WIM> <TOTALBYTES>2182706921</TOTALBYTES> <IMAGE INDEX="1"> <NAME>Windows 7 Ultimate</NAME> <FLAGS>ULTIMATE</FLAGS> <WINDOWS> <ARCH>0</ARCH> <PRODUCTNAME>Microsoft® Windows® Operating System</PRODUCTNAME> <HAL>acpiapic</HAL> <PRODUCTTYPE>WinNT</PRODUCTTYPE> <PRODUCTSUITE>Terminal Server</PRODUCTSUITE> <LANGUAGES> <LANGUAGE>de-DE</LANGUAGE> <DEFAULT>de-DE</DEFAULT> </LANGUAGES> <VERSION> <MAJOR>6</MAJOR> <MINOR>1</MINOR> <BUILD>7600</BUILD> <SPBUILD>16385</SPBUILD> </VERSION> <SYSTEMROOT>WINDOWS</SYSTEMROOT> </WINDOWS> <DIRCOUNT>9747</DIRCOUNT> <FILECOUNT>48310</FILECOUNT> <TOTALBYTES>8569677316</TOTALBYTES> <CREATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01CA4C78</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0xD2F6CB7A</LOWPART> </CREATIONTIME> <LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01CA6229</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0xEA5CB6AA</LOWPART> </LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <DISPLAYNAME>WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE</DISPLAYNAME> </IMAGE> <GUID>bb41caeb-b81b-49f5-ab74-a0de05e02b4e</GUID> <IMAGECOUNT>1</IMAGECOUNT> <COMPRESSION>LZX</COMPRESSION> <PARTNUMBER>1</PARTNUMBER> <TOTALPARTS>1</TOTALPARTS> <ATTRIBUTES>0x8</ATTRIBUTES> </WIM>
hope that helps.

1. The botton "including subfoders" is useless.
2. After integrating a Chinese language pack. One can still only select English in installing selection window.
3. If I integrate updates and choose unattend without typing a user name. The installation will fail in the second reboot.
Thank you for giving out such a nice software.

As x-layer said just rename your folder. BTW, I have already put quotes around all the paths in 7Customizer.

Perhaps it was not a good si=orce or maybe it was modified before.

however the imagesinfo.xml was created:
Ok. From your file and x-layer's I can now figure what the problem is.
Thanks man for your feedback and help.
@chenxuwen
1. No the include subfolders button is not useless. In integrating drivers you have three options. a)Using a single inf file.
2. This issue has been discussed so many times. The languages can be selected after the installation not in the setup.
3. Of course it will fail. You have to fill the whole information for a successful unattended installation.
Thanks man for your feedback I hope this discussion was helpful.

7Customizer can be used on XP, Vista and 7.
Windows WAIK for 7 can be used on Vista and 7 only.
However you could install dism , which is needed by 7Customizer, on xp. jaclaz has posted a link to a guide that shows you how to install dism in XP (it is on the first page of this thread).You will also need imagex which can be obtained by installing WAIK for Vista.

So, without more explaination or other efficient tool (such as vlite has been...), i say i've NO way to make my own customized installation image disk of Windows Seven, without first install it.

Just extract the iso to a folder. They are many tools to extract files from an iso like winrar ,ultraiso and poweriso.

It is (at this stage) essentially Windows 7. It will quite likely remain the basis of MANY hidden computers for a long long time.

From a quick play, it looks rather good.

1. Automatic great capitals when you put in the key
2. To drop a selected driver (when a selcted driver is not able to be deselected again)
3. Make ISO (until now i use vlite to create ISO
Your tool is great. Go on!!

1. I will implement this in the next release
2. This is already planned in a future release.
3. This was planned for 0.2.x release but I postponed it to a future release
Thanks for the suggestion
@Ringthane
I hope it works for you and will wait for your feedback.
@TheWalrus
I think since 7Customizer now has many functionality , presets became an important function. So I think it will be implemented in 0.3.x release.

I'm looking forward to checking this thread in a month or so to see what sort of new features have been implemented, and to read of all the bugs that you've patched.
Great work! Your efforts are much appreciated! Thanks again!

Its definitly a supergreat work, so huge thumbs up
I think we can contribute to this, by gathering tweaks etc, so he doesnt have to do all the work by himself, even tho it might not be so much hard work do find them byself but still:P.
What we definitly can do and are doing.. testing 7C as much as we can and reporting back to him.
Edit: I shouldve used this program to costumize my win7 dvd when i was about to reinstall my computer, but i was p***ed and unfortunately i didnt think of this:/

Glad it worked for you. It would be helpful if you have posted your log file.
Anyways you are welcome and thanks for your feedback.
@tcntad
Thanks man for your help. As you mentioned it is not hard to find tweaks for Windows. I think now it is the suggestions time until 0.2.x release is done.

I think it might be easier if we contribute as much as we can, coming up with ideas and so on, even if we may not have the skills to do the c# work ourself.
I unfortunately get some kind of error with dism (havent read the dism.log yet), i made my choices: 7 ultimate 32bit, languagepack, updates, drivers, unattanded and pressed apply but i realized that it would take to long to stay up all night and press enter whenever it requested me to do so so i aborted it and earlier today when i decided to go custom, it didnt want me to.. i got the error..
Maybe its possible for you to deal with that? so that i/we dont have to press enter or "any key" to continue with the integration, maybe setup somethin so it will do it automatically either at once or maybe after a few seconds?
Ill be back with the log soon
