7Customizer - a Windows 7 Customization and Deployment tool

Recommended Posts

@DesiGaizu

You are welcome. I hope you post your log after experimenting with 7Customizer.

@expert_1st

You are welcome.

@Hopie

Hmmm. Strange. You are the only member who faced such problems. In 0.4.x release, I will add more info to the log. It might help finding the problem. As I suggested before, try 7Customizer in another machine.

Regards

@Blue

i have tested the new version "a" this morning and everything works fine. All updates are integrated. All drivers are running in the system (also the new Nvidia!). A have itegrated some proggies with the Addon-Kopierer 0.3.1.7 from the German Winlite-Forum (www.german-unattended.de) from Engelmarkus&Testesser and nearly all (except 1) are running without probs.

See my log.

Thank you for your good work!! Go on!

My guess is that you are trying to use an image that is located in a folder with spaces. Eg: D:\Windows 7 x64 Professional, instead you should make sure the folder has no spaces. In this case: D:\Windows_7_x64_Professional.

There is something wrong on my current W7 installation(vLited: ripped stuff like lang. and so on)

I made fresh install(no vlited) to virtual machine and 7customizer works fine.

Great program but but...I miss functions to rip unneeded Windows features completely. vLite isn't obviously working correctly with w7.

Costumizing the dvd and 7 Ultimate 32Bit swedish works just fine, so does the setup until last parts..

Maybe you can see whats wrong with it ?

I made the unattended and tweaks and save it to a presetfile, the unattended comes straight from the iso

Another feature I think of is when you have done the todo list (I know it won't be soon I asume), but you could expand your work to also work with server 2008 r2 as its the counter part to windows 7 just server side. I don't know if its already works, but its what came to my mind :D

Blue stated in his first post that he wont make 7C work with Server 2008. IF and only if he will do it after 7C is fullversion and fully working with 7.

@Blue

Dont know what was wrong but i made a new unattended and then it worked just fine

So version 0.4a is working with windows 7 Ultimate swedish 32bit:)

Ideas for next release?

Im thinking bout hiding /showing the language bar and also the icons at taskbar

Show/hide clock, network, battery etc.

Its on the first page...gee

You need to run 7C from a directory which doesnt have any spaces in the patj like you.

NOT: c:\program files (x86)\7C

BUT: c:\7C or f:\7work etc .

And i hope D:\ isnt yuor dvddrive beacuse its pretty obvious you cant integrate stuff to a dvd like that, so copy it to ur harddrive.
