Hi all
After an aborted attempt to upgrade to win7 I'm now about to try to revert back to win XP Pro x64.
I have a full backup, made with the xp backup utility (.bkf files)
However I don't have my original win XP Pro x64 cd any longer or recoover cd, but I do have a 32 bi win xp pro original CD.
Can I just to a clean installof 32 bit XP pro, and then restore my x64 system from my backup as soon as the install is finished ? Will it just write over the 32 bit system ? Are there any pitfalls I should beware of ? This will be the first time I've ever had to restore a backup so I'm a bit worried.
Please advise
Thanks
LR
