Hello,

I currently am running a 100mb/s network with all the right cables and appriopriate router. I am using two diffrent computers one running windows 7 64 bit and one windows xp media center edition. I was wondering if anyone could give me some help or info about what kind of speed i should be getting through my network. Is it possible to transfer data through it faster than my current and actually pretty rare max of 25mb/s.

Thanks for any help.

For a 100mbps network the absolute maximum throughput will be 12MB/s (b=bits, B=bytes)
If you want 25MB/s you will need gigabit hardware.
