my docs -add in? can i load things in my docs before install Rate Topic: -----

i am going to build one for my mum, i'd like to preload some files/folders for her in my documents, i haven't found anything about this so can it be done?

In my experience that method wont work unless its the All Users or Default User folders. If you plan on making here username Jane and create a folder called Jane, setup will see that folder and skip it creating a folder called Jane.<something>.

I would run a batch file that moves things to her folder after it has been created. Use a folder somewhere else then guirunonce in winnt.sif to move the items. You can also package everything in a WinRar SFX archive that has the full paths then call it from guirunonce.

Yes but take into account my post. It wont work for a user profile folder in Documents and Settings. You have to use the method I described,
