Thank you so much for these. Have been using your lists (this and Win8) for a bit now and just wanted to make sure you knew your efforts are appreciated! As you can tell, I'm a hell of a lurker... lol.

I have no plans to include this update, as it's really meant for XP x86 and x64.

Windows Update agent:

I used to have WUA in my lists, but I removed it when MS wouldn't provide the latest version in a executable file. Sadly, cause they are now provided in cab form, I now have no plans to include them!

x64

x86

I already have those links in a txt file, for future versions of IE10.

Roots certificates update (KB931125) is requested by WU for Windows 7, it can also be found on MS Update Catalog, and it's the same file as the one linked. (different download link for x86 and x64 but the same file actually).

Thank you once again for a sterling effort Steven.

Is anyone else getting problems with KB2835361 being re-offered by Windows Update (maybe via WSUS) despite being integrated correctly? I've re-downloaded the binaries from the KB Article, and also from the Windows Update Catalog website (as per an issue with a previous update where V2 of the update was available on the KB Article, but V4 was available via the Windows Update Catalog) but they check out the same...

Hi Steven, just to let know that 2 patches in the latest (Aug. 2013) x86 updates are reported by Update Downloader as not being on the server.

The patches are:

KB2836943-v2-x86.msu (.NET Framework 3.5.1)

KB2834140-v2-x86.msu (Non-Security)

Had to download them individually from the Microsoft download site.

Hope that helps, Gideon.

The same patches Gideon refers to fail to download for the X64 Update List too. I believe it's because Microsoft has released new revisions (-v2) of both these updates and the originals referred to in your ULs have been pulled. Only a very minor issue and a fantastic effort once again Steven.

Hi Steven, I just installed the 13/8/13 Post SP1 updates for x86 and upon completion and subsequent checking for updates Windows 7 asks for KB2861855 (came out on 12/8/13). It's missing from your package.

Best regards as always, Gideon.

Thank you for the feedback, It's missing because I don't provide updates to the Remote Desktop software, that's included with Windows 7 SP1 in my lists.

Hello, steven4554!

I went over security bulletins and put together my own update tree for Windows 7 64 bit SP1.
I noticed some things when comparing with your list.

Consider the following patch replacement chains:

2476490 < 2564958
You have included both. Suggest removing 2476490.

2503658 < 2544893
You have included both. Suggest removing 2503658.

2479628 < 2506223 < 2525694 < 2555917 < 2567053 < 2617657 < 2639417 < 2660465 < 2641653 < 2676562.
You have included 2525694 and 2676562. Suggest removing 2525694.

2620712 < 2813170 < 2859537 < 2872339
You have included 2620712 and 2872339. Suggest removing 2620712.

2644615 < 2859537 < 2872339
You have included 2644615 and 2872339. Suggest removing 2644615.

2507938 < 2567680 < 2790113 < 2859537 < 2872339
You have included 2790113 and 2872339. Suggest removing 2790113.

2508272 < 2618451
You seem to not include this patch (ActiveX Kill Bits)?
Suggest including 2618451.

2475792 < 2510531 < 2706045
You seem to not include this patch (Vulnerability in JScript and VBScript engines)?
Suggest including 2706045.

2489256 < 2716513
2719033
You seem to not include this patch (security update for FTP Service 7.5 and FTP Service 7.0 for Internet Information Services 7.0)?
Suggest including 2716513 and 2719033.

954430
2721691 < 2758694
You seem to not include these patches (security update for XML Core Services 4.0)?
Suggest including 954430 and 2758694.

2601626 < 2621146 < 2772930
2853587
You seem to not include these patches (security update for Active Directory)?
Suggest including 2772930 and 2853587.

2803821
You included this patch (security update for Windows Media Format Runtime 9 and 9.5 (wmvdmod.dll), and for Windows Media Player 11 and 12) under the "WMP12 updates" area, but it is a security patch that also fixes Format Runtime. This can be used by applications other than Windows Media Player. I for one only realized it is an important security patch after encountering it in the bulletin. In the Windows Updates Downloader, the category looked unimportant (some users don't use WMP, but still play WMV videos). Suggest moving 2803821 to security updates area.

Some of the missing updates do look like they might not be a part of Windows 7, but instead require additional download and installation?
My appologies in that case. Could you point those out?

If you don't mind me asking, where do you get information on non-security patches? I can't seem to find a listing or bulletins for those.

Thanks :blushing:

can i have some light on update KB2574819 (Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems)

this update first got Synced from SCCM (SUP) but doesnt deploy to systems.

manual download from MS site and its installation works though... is it because MS re-released it with V2

(V2 is the one which is available for download now Windows6.1-KB2574819-v2-x64.msu)

That update is not available in the lists, cause I don't provide updates to remote desktop.

Hello Steven,

A very minor problem; update KB2834140 under Non-Security Updates (for both the X64 list and the x86 list) is not downloading. I checked the .UL file and the filename is missing '-v2' in the URL thus:

Windows6.1-KB2834140-x64.msu

Windows6.1-KB2834140-v2-x64.msu

(above for X64 obviously!)

Nothing mission critical!
