MagicAndre :) Can you have a look and tell me whats wrong if I upload a trace for you? Where/ how should I upload/ make it accessible for you?

This is the issue I've been facing and want to figure out which driver is causing it.

folder deleted.

- boot delay is gone

that's good :)

- xbootmgr still has errors (no change)

- hibernation does not work

Which error message do you get?

Zip the ETL with 7-Zip to a 7z archive with LZMA2/Ultra compression and upload it to mediafire.com or to your SkyDrive/DropBox and post the link here.

I mean the hibernation error message you get.

You can also try to use the WPT 4.8:

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=8279

maybe this version works.

Win tries to go to hibernation, switches erverything off and restarts immediately and I get a message screen if I had powered off the system by PSU. Win reports: The system was shutdown unexpectedly (Eventlog 6008). The system rebooted without shutdown (Kernel_Power 41). Both messages translated from german.

And I have used the WPD 4.8.x from the SDK 7.1.

do you use BIOS 1.70? Did the hibernation ever worked correctly or has it stopped after using it already? Do you use the latest drivers fro your SATA controller?

Also try this hotfix:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2541014

Ruhezustand funktioniert nicht oder Speicherabbild wird nicht erstellt, nachdem Windows 7 oder Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 installiert wurde

The mainboard BIOS is 1.7. Hibernation worked very well for some time. But I can't tell the date or after what update/software install it does not work anymore. The S-ATA-Controller has BIOS version FE9X 4.10.00.021, the driver version is 3.0.5.56 (Sep 14, 2011). KB2541014 is installed since 2011-08.01.

what happens at the August 12th? What have you installed/changed? At August 9th, there was patchday. Maybe it was an update which caused it. Do you have a system restore point before August 12th?

The oldest restore point is 2011-08-19.

the following Software was installed before August 12th:

- Microsoft Outlook Sicherung für persönliche Ordner

- Windows XP-Mode
