Is the service ReadyBoost set to automatic?

Set the value to 3 like shown here:

http://en.wikipedia....r#Configuration

To start defrag from command prompt simply run defrag C: /v Does this work or also fails.

Can you post the xbootmgr.log here?

ok, so ReadyBoost is stopped.

run services.msc, go to the ReadyBoost service, double click on the entry and set the start type to automatic

@magic andrei

Remember the usbvideo.sys BSOD?? Well, I installed the sp1 and the problem did not go away. Then I tried the hotfix but to no avail. Any inputs??

Hi

I've my notebook started rebooting and went away from keyboard

after I got back on the 2nd reboot it showed dialog box said time out for 300s and kernell something. I clicked OK since it was the only button and restarted again.

After it rebooted it continued for the 3rd to 5th restarting but in the 6th the same dialog box showed up again.

here is the link

http://sfcptg.blu.li...tled.png?psid=1

Please give me advices on what I should do .

Thanks in advance.

I'm using Avast 6.0.1

and adaware . I tried disable both of them and try again.

the result is quite the same...the second restart made it but not the sixth.

should I make the trace files?

your boot is slow because the HDD is busy all the time.In which SATA mode do you run your ST9500325AS?

Avast and the Adaware service slows down the system a lot.! both take over 20s to start. remove both tools and use other alternatives like MSE or AntiVir. Also the KMService takes extremely long to start.

After doing this run the optimization again.

I checked my hard disks by device manager and it showed the disks are ATA devices but I checked with Asus my notebook supposed to be SATA .

Could that be the problem?

If I remove Avast Adaware and KMService will the optimization finished with out error balloon or it will just make booting faster.

Thank you for your help

try it. I can only see that those 3 services slow down your Windows most.

your boot is slow because autochk checks the HDD. this takes 60s. You need 90s to boot to the desktop and 167s to boot completely.

Check all HDDs with chkdsk
