the ACPI is only called because the CPU temperature is too high. Try Speedfan and try to change the speed of your CPU fan:

Does this improve the situation?

Getting temps that high, I would probably also try taking the back of the laptop completely off and see if you might have some major dust bunnies keeping the fan from doing its job.

Cheers and Regards

you have USBport spikes:

Total = 290022 for module USBPORT.SYS
Elapsed Time, >      512 usecs AND <=     1024 usecs,      5, or   0.00%
Elapsed Time, >     1024 usecs AND <=     2048 usecs,     29, or   0.01%
Elapsed Time, >     2048 usecs AND <=     4096 usecs,    243, or   0.08%
Elapsed Time, >     4096 usecs AND <=     8192 usecs,     26, or   0.01%

Looks like your GlobeTrotter GI1505 - Modem Interface seams to cause it. Update the driver.

thanks.. i updated my globetrotter GI1505 and the result is like this..

this result showing i am watching youtube through chrome while my steam is patching the game.. is this normal for usbport.sys to get to high value when transferring data through broadband?

Still got some audio dropout and

when i try to connect to wifi, the ndis.sys will raise to the highest DPC routine execution. is this normal?

My kernel timer latency also causing very high value and very unstable.. the value is up and down,, what can i do to make it stable at low point?

Here is my newer etl file.

thanks a lot and thank MaficAndre for answering my helping a lot. =) sorry for my poor English too..

not working even thought i changed the usb port of my modem. i wonder why my interrupt to process latency so unstable and spike to the peak whole time?

Hi, i've been having huge spikes and i hope you can help me. I've tried nearly everything (different drivers for everything, clean install without drivers, adding drivers one by one and monitoring latencymon).. And am still having spikes.
The most problematic for me is that it causes sound crackling. I've turned off everything that isn't used in BIOS and have tried updating BIOS, no dice.. I was hoping you could have a look

Heres the ETL-file:
http://www5.zippysha...93041/file.html

Password:
MSFN567

Thank you!!

EDIT:
I've tried removing the Graphics Card Drivers but the culprit changes to ATAPORT.sys and USBPORT.sys then. ACPI.sys have also been messing around.
also ntoskrnl.exe have reported issues in latencymon.
I have also tried having the graphics card in different slots.

The only thing connected are my mouse and keyboard. My external sound card have been disconnected and drivers have been removed before.

Might it be a faulty motherboard? I have had a stable overclock for the past few years but maybe it's on its way out. Overclock have been removed atm.

Like i said, i've tried on a clean install with nothing plugged in except one hard drive, and the spikes are still there.

I can't see any spikes:

Total = 7042
Elapsed Time, > 0 usecs AND <= 1 usecs, 2487, or 35.32%
Elapsed Time, > 1 usecs AND <= 2 usecs, 694, or 9.86%
Elapsed Time, > 2 usecs AND <= 4 usecs, 1664, or 23.63%
Elapsed Time, > 4 usecs AND <= 8 usecs, 916, or 13.01%
Elapsed Time, > 8 usecs AND <= 16 usecs, 483, or 6.86%
Elapsed Time, > 16 usecs AND <= 32 usecs, 548, or 7.78%
Elapsed Time, > 32 usecs AND <= 64 usecs, 155, or 2.20%
Elapsed Time, > 64 usecs AND <= 128 usecs, 52, or 0.74%
Elapsed Time, > 128 usecs AND <= 256 usecs, 34, or 0.48%
Elapsed Time, > 256 usecs AND <= 512 usecs, 9, or 0.13%
Total,

delays till 512┬Ás should not cause sound issues.

Sorry, yeah i wasn't having issues because it was a fresh reboot. My computer has been on and i am experiencing crackling sound at the moment. I might consider getting a copy of windows 8 and see if that helps, but i still think it's hardware related.

Since i'm experiencing the problems on a fresh install with barebone drivers, power management completely off (in BIOS and everything maxed in windows), wouldn't that be likely?
I've experimented with different types of graphics cards, standard vga drivers, various amounts of chipset updates, bios update, single hard drive and graphics card only, different slots for the graphics cards..
I'm going to run a memtest for the whole night tonight just to see if that could be it, though unlikely since everything runs perfectly otherwise. It's a long shot but i'm completely out of ideas.

I've also tried the integrated sound card and another external sound card, both which caused crackling. It seems to have become "better" after intensive searching for the past few weeks and fiddling around with different settings.

I've also tried different usb ports but again, no change.
Could fans cause interruptions? it's the only thing i didn't disconnect. I have a powerful PSU and a full tower case with lots of fans.

I can see that the usbport.sys causes some CPU usage:

--------------------------
DPC Info

--------------------------
CPU Usage Summing By Module For the Whole Trace

CPU Usage from 0 us to 49781250 us:

     CPU 0 Usage, CPU 1 Usage,
     usec      %,      usec      %, Module
  2423690   4.87,   2444616   4.91, USBPORT.SYS

Have you installed the latest "Komplete Audio 6" drivers?

I have tried 3.0.2 (which was the original driver on the cd), 3.0.3 and 3.1.0. I can't find any earlier drivers though.
I'm also not sure if it completely removes the driver when uninstalling through add/remove programs.

Still, without the external sound card installed and fresh windows 7 installation, latencymon would pick up spikes. I haven't tried using xperf there though but if you want i could shut down, insert the other hard drive with the fresh install and create a .etl file as well.

EDIT:
Would using latencymon in safe mode report spikes? Seeing as it only loads the barebones drivers? I could try checking that out as well.
Thanks for the effort!

don't open the kernel.etl. Open the DPC_interrupt.etl. Also enable the stack column and load the debug symbols.

Hello Andre,

I installed Speedfan but not really sure if it's working properly here.. From what I remember there used to be individual controls for fans, the only thing I can see here is temperature display..

Ok I think this is correct. There was no "stack" column option that I could find.

This seems to have been an issue with my video card. I noticed the temp was high when doing nothing (79c) so I changed to a single display instead of dual and the temp dropped to around 50c in a few minutes. I haven't had this issue since-not even when playing games. Gtx 570 by the way. Maybe it's on it's way out.

The GTX5XX cards get very hot. Try to add a 3rd party cooler to the GPU.
