about KB2603381: I didn't testet it.

I replaces the value of HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Package\protocol\StdFileEditing\server(default) from "packager.exe" to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Packager.exe" *

*) depending on your Windows-Path.

about KB2626416: Active Directory is not included Windows XP. It must be installed seperately.

I know what it does ;) The problem is that it doesn't happen through the .inf file but rather through a customization dll which is included in the UPDATE folder. HFSLIP won't slipstream this file so there's no chance that it'll work. This is my prediction as I'm unable to test it at the moment.

You're right with your concerns! I've tested it and HF doesnt work for KB2603381. I've tested also HFSVCPACK_SW1: works! :)

nicely done, guys!

PS: Mimo, you should change the status of 2603381 from "unknown" to "misplaced" (when found in HF instead of hfsvcpack_sw1), it´s a lot clearer that way.

bye!

By the way, Mim0, why does 'SmartCard_XP_x86.exe' have to be renamed to 'WindowsXP-KB952013-x86-XXX.exe'? Is there any particular reason for this?

Mim0, links for "WindowsXP-KB2264107-x86.reg" & "WindowsXP-KB2264107-x86-XXX.exe" are the same

and this:

not found (O): HF\WindowsXP-KB2647516-x86-KOR.exe (Empty dialog when opening 'Organize Favorites' from Windows Explorer)

even though I use IE8 and have "IE8-WindowsXP-KB2647516-x86-KOR.exe" in HF.

@EDIT

and gdiplus.dll 5.2.6002.22509 from KB2412687 isn't slipstreamed. It'll probably have to go to HFSVCPACK_SW1.

Oh... that's a long time ago... I didn't remember. But if I remember right, there was some discussion about this here... HFSLIP ist filtering some updates by their name. Probably this is the reason, that this update was slipstreamed in the correct order.

Mim0, links for "WindowsXP-KB2264107-x86.reg" & "WindowsXP-KB2264107-x86-XXX.exe" are the same

Thx!!!

not found (O): HF\WindowsXP-KB2647516-x86-KOR.exe (Empty dialog when opening 'Organize Favorites' from Windows Explorer)

even though I use IE8 and have "IE8-WindowsXP-KB2647516-x86-KOR.exe" in HF.

To use the IE6-update is a fix for the Explorer, not the Internet Explorer. here you can see the Explorer bug:
http://www.msfn.org/...post__p__913457

and gdiplus.dll 5.2.6002.22509 from KB2412687 isn't slipstreamed. It'll probably have to go to HFSVCPACK_SW1.

I will look for it.

Thx for your comments!!! :thumbup

IIRC, renaming this update allows HFSLIP for some reason to slipstream it from HF folder instead of HFSVCPACK_SW1.

Are you sure it's necessary? HFSLIP will slipstream any update even if you name it abcd.exe unless its structure is non-standard.

I read about it here, but I don't know if the current version of HFSLIP handles it without the need for renaming it. Somebody should test that.
