I think I asked this question here before, but I can't seem to find my thread (hmm....) so I'll ask it again. I'm wondering if there's a way to disable the preview window on the taskbar through a registry link or with an external program and keep the aero glass theme on.
This is the window I want to disable:

I haven't found a way to fully disable them, but you can delay them almost indefinetly. Put the following into a file, name it hover.REG and double click on it. It should use that value latest on the next login. I personally set this value to 10 seconds.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced] ; extend thumbbail preview in milli seconds "ExtendedUIHoverTime"=dword:FFFFFFFF
