RT Seven Lite - RC build 1.7.0 and Beta build 2.6.0

Recommended Posts

Hello: I have a Canon LIDE 100 Canoscan. I simply can't install the drivers. The device is detected, and Windows Updates pulls the drivers down and tries to install them, but the installation fails, with the device reporting Error 18 (reinstall drivers). I've tried the drivers from the Canon site, but they will not install either. I know this scanner used to work with Windows 7, so the problem must lie with something I'm removing with RT7 Lite. Also, I'm having a problem with WinSAT. While it runs initially on Windows installation, I cannot initiate a new system rating from the system control panel applet. Further, besides the total performance index rating, no other numerical values are displayed...the categories are blank. I can initiate a WinSAT session via command line, but the values are still blank. Would someone help me troubleshoot this problem please? I've attached my lastsession.ini

Thank you,

C

I have made a screenshot of my error messages when mounting a 64-bit Win7 in a Win7 64-bit surrounding. There was no vlite. There are no other proggies, realy only 7lite!

Win7 runs without problems, WAIK is installed, but there are these errors (the first in english, the second in german).

Hello!

You can check if your account is always runing with admin rights and privileges!

Cheers

*Edit: about privileges

You can use Ntrights.exe inside:

Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools

I've found very useful informations, but only with French language:

Hi,

This is an old HP model, HP PSC1350 with printer and scanner.

My purpose is to do a small windows 7 as small as possible, so with none of functionality I don't need (wlan, vpn, ....). BUT the only component that don't work is the printer one.

So this is what I remove :

- ACCESSORIES : Windows Fax and Scanner

- SERVICES : Fax, Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), Server, Workstation

And this is what I keep and seems to be in touch with printer functionality :

- DRIVERS : Printers (HP) and Scanners (HP)

- MULTIMEDIA : Windows Acquisition Wizard

- SERVICES : Print Spooler, Windows Image Acquisition

And my 2 Questions are :

- Do I have to check the default features "Print and Document Services", with all or none components ?

- Do I have to keep "File and Printer Sharing" with dependencies (DNS, Internet Connection Sharing, Network List Service, TCP/IP Net Bios, Windows Connect Now, Windows Firewall) ?

Many Thanks.

Hello!

Have you use the button "Apply" to make the modifications on your new Windows Image before create the ISO file, and add Win7.iso name at the end of the file (example)?

You can also try "Search" to find where is located your ISO file on your computer!

now rt7lite freezed during muonting image step in the beginning....

now, i can't start rt7lite because the WIM image is mounted but in cmd i've tried theese command

Dism /cleanup-wim

dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:%temp%\rt_mount /discard

dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:%temp%\rt_mount_boot /discard

for the first and the last command no problem all goes right

but when i use the second one i receive this error

Error: 0xc1420117

The directory could not be completely unmounted. This is usually due to applica

tions that still have files opened within the mount directory. Close these file

s and unmount again to complete the unmount process.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

what can i do?

Take care to choose the correct path for Dism.exe

"C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\amd64\Servicing\Dism.exe"

You can try to unmount a new time with:

For the "rt_mount" folder

>Dism.exe /unmount-wim /mountdir:%temp%\rt_mount /discard

You can find "dism.log" file inside : "%Systemdrive%\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log"
