RT Seven Lite - RC build 1.7.0 and Beta build 2.6.0

Recommended Posts

Not really, I am on x64 OS and installed this one:

http://www.pub.rt7lite.com/7lite-rc-beta-1726-dec6-10-stable/rt_7_lite_win7_Vista_x64.exe

and trying to customize x64 OS only. I hope Ben would come and suggest a solution.

Edit: Let it be man, I have solved my problem, Actually my mistake, I am using WAIK for Vista and ben told me to install wimmount driver and unfortunately I have installed wimmount driver for 32bit so only 32bit image was loaded smoothly but 64bit image was giving error in loading. Now I have installed wimmount driver for 64bit and everything is fine.

I really appreciate your help.

Just for testing purpose!

Thanks for your time and all the replies mate, rebuild all images didn't work for me. I have selected my 64bit image and RT7lite trimmed only 64bit image only. But I am happy atleast my loading image problem got solved. Rebuild all images is not a big deal, we can trim all the images separately and then merge all those images with gimagex.

Hey guys has anyone of you faced any error like "pilauncher is not installed correctly" I have trimmed my OS with RT7lite and got this error just after I install my OS. And I also found 2 desktop.ini files on the desktop, how can I remove those files?

The two files desktop.ini on the desktop are normally hidden! You don't need to delete them!

Maybe you can tell us what is pilauncher.exe and the silent commands you have used?

I have 2 questions if I may...

1. on their page for requirements they a** WAIK for 7, but also write only vista needs this

so does it mean that users of win7 don't need this to be installed at all ?

2. is it true that RTlite will only work if I use it under win7 ?

@vinifera

If you read carefully, you can see that WAIK for Windows 7 is needed with Windows Vista SP1 or SP2, and for with Windows 7 Host Operating Systems !

Yes, I see there is two different information: at the first page of this topic and another on the RT Se7en Lite link!

RT Se7en Lite - Requirements:

RT Se7en Lite needs the following applications installed on your system before you start customizing!

  • WAIK - Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK) for windows 7
  • DOT NET Framework 3.5

You can use RT Se7en Lite under Windows Vista SP1 or SP2 if you install WAIK for Wimdows 7.

I always used RT Se7en Lite with WAIK for Windows 7 installed on my computer!

The best way is to try do not install WAIK for Windows 7 with an Operating System Windows 7 and tell us. Thanks!

Even I don't know what is pilauncher.exe, I didn't try to integrate any silent installer or so. I just trimmed by OS and added some tweaks that is it.

Even I am not sure about the name it may be Wpilauncher.exe, and I have also observed a strange thing, I used a pen drive to install the OS and when the OS installed there were 3 extra files in the pen drive 2 exes and one dll. I don't remember the names of those files.

It's seems the problem is with RTLauncher.exe (Post Install Wizard) include with RT Se7en Lite to install your programs silently, or a name like this, I don't remember!

Do you install programs with RT Se7en Lite?

I presume you are talking about the host OS, Nope I didn't install any application with the rt7lite. I got this error in the target (the trimmed one) OS.

Did you face any error of RTlauncher.exe?

Hey guys has anyone of you faced any error like "pilauncher is not installed correctly" I have trimmed my OS with RT7lite and got this error just after I install my OS.

I think the problem is when you have installed RT Se7en Lite the first time and trying to customize your Windows 7.

The name is RT7LitePILaunch.exe and this program is inside %SystemDrive%\Program Files\Rocker Teams\RT 7 Lite (x86)\RT7LitePILaunch.exe

I think it's better to install first WAIK for Windows 7 before using RT Se7en Lite to have an successful installation and customize Windows 7!

*Edit: You can mount your image install.wim customized, and inside the mounted folder you will maybe see:

%Mounted_Folder%\Windows\System32\RT7PILaunch.exe

But I think this program is used to install silently your programs added with RT Se7en Lite and located inside:

%Mounted_Folder%\Windows\setup\scripts\
