Go Here Scroll to "Search - Advanced Options (Set as Default)"
Get the REG file next to the first "Tip"
Remove the last 2 lines of the REG file.

I use this and works fine without ticking the "Advanced". If after the RegEdit fix, you do by chance tick the "Advanced", you'll see the others are already Ticked.
