ehe I'm asking this bc
I'm currently hosting
winamp 5 and 2.91
winamp 5 superseeeds 2.91 so I didn't see any point in leaving it there
if no one wants it I want to delete the 2.91 installer...

(sorry for this stupid poll, but I don't want ppl trying to dl it and not be able to find it on the server, I also know its 2.224mb but still takes up space since its not unlimited)

Thanks...

Haven't tried winamp 5, but I hated upgrading to winamp 2.8 from 2.6i think. It didn't function the way I liked prior to the upgrade. Same goes for when I upgraded from 2.9 to 3.0.
I had to revert back to 2.9 because it worked much better than any of the other ones available.

i like winamp 5 the best. i have even stopped using wmp9 & musicmatch 8 for it.

i am going to download the .msi installer for winamp5. will save me 1.5mb from using Installrite to copy it.

winamp 5 is nothing like winamp 3, I hated winamp 3!. and all the functions of it. therefore I used 2.95, now I'm on 5 it rocks.
I use it on standard skin, more usefull for me.

I used 2.95 for a while, and have considered going back. The Desktop Milkdrop effect has kept me though. I have a strange screech that happened with Winamp5 and not with 2.95. Don't rightly know why. I remember hearing about 2.95 and that it wasn't a real release. The last release was 2.91. 2.95 had some cd ripping/burning features (which are found in Winamp5 and work nicely) So I also use WA5.01 to rip my mp3s, instead of CdEx Beta, which was very good as well for mp3 ripping.

actually i still prefer v. 2.76, for some reason i just don't like the 2.9 series, they have a fading effect when songs are switched, and it's real annoying

yeah...... do take the 2.9 series down.
I'm on the latest version always - when all my friends were bitching about wa3, I was still comfortably using it on a cyrix-MII+32MB RAM.

Currently my new comp is on v5.02.
BTW, 2.95 is a leaked version and nobody's (on the right side of the law) allowed to have/distribute it.

hey, wa5 (when used with the classic skin) should run decently on that.

I hope you don't really mean it - don't even dare ask such a Q when I'm around :)
