I tried Free Launch Bar when Windows 7 was released and it worked. At least in the 32-bit version.

It has been a long time since I installed it on my laptop, but maybe it is a problem on your computer.
Have you tried to reinstall it? Maybe you are on a non-admin account?

My system is 64-bit,I think there's no problem on my computer. My be the soft could not suit the 64-bit windows7 system.

I just tried on my desktop which has Windows 7 x64 and it works well. I made some shortcuts and some folders without a problem.
Make sure you are using the latest version of Free Launch Bar. It could be some other application interfering with it perhaps.
