Outlook: Mail Options - > Check for new mail on ( ) -> not wo

In Outlook, under

Tools, Options, Mail Services tab, Mail Services - Check for new mail on:

I have 4 or 5 accounts listed. There is a check-box beside each account. I don't want outlook to be "checking for new mail" on one of them, so I remove the check-mark beside that account.

Problem is, outlook is still checking trying to log in and check for mail on that account that I'm telling it not to check.

Is this a known problem? How can I fix this so that outlook stops checking mail for that account?
