Although we've been hearing about it for a while now, Rambus has now officially announced and demonstrated its PC1066 RDRAM technology. Compared to today's PC800, which runs at an effective rate of 800MHz, the new RDRAM raises the ante to 1.066GHz and creates lots of headroom for high-performance processors.
