Hi,

I have a small and quick newbie question, can I surf the internet with IE or Opera using windows PE as well as use chat programs like paltalk and msn?

All this entirly from the CD ? No Harddrive !!!

I am thinking maybe the cache files can be written to a ramdrive !!

Also can someone please explain what are windows PE limitations if I am running it From a CD and no harddrive existance at all.

Thanks in advance.

It is designed to run from a cd in order to install Os's on multiple pc's in an OEM environment.

From your post I suggest you try put Bart's PE builder, seems more along the lines of what you are looking for.

Thanks for reply,

just final couple of questions please... as you can tell I am still a beginner with WINPE and I am trying to work out how WINPE will work with my ram, I have downloaded most of Ram Disks software because I know I will eventually need one.

1-
At the moment I have 256 MG Ram, will that be enough for WINPE and how much
then ramdisk will I end up with after loading winpe??

2-
will I be able to run zonealarm pro with winpe without customizing zonealarm and allowing the programs I specify to access the internet on the spot? I am aware that
upon reboot those settings will go away again.

3-
if question 2 is not possible, then is it possible that I first put winpe on my hard drive and customize it in a way to make zonealarm allow those programs to access the internet, and that will work fine from the CD?

Thanks in advance,
