Does anyone know how to change fonts in XP?

It was easy in 9x, but i can't seem to find the feature in XP.

When i apply dark themes to my XP, i wish to change my font to WHITE so i can see my text.

Anyone help?

Many thanks

Gimie

Yes yes yes, thanks

But which out of that list of options effects the "taskbar" font settings?

To change your task bar will take a hex edit of your theme file, and you will need stylesXP installed, or use windows blinds.

you might be able to do it with a registry hack, ill have a see for you...

Trust Microsoft to make this one hard, i mean, cmon, why all that trouble over something so simple? :)

It appears i should install Style Builder and edit the visual style's manually, what a b***h.

Thanks for all your help by the way

Theme files can be edited with Notepad, but I saw no reference to fonts there. I found font references in .msstyles files. You can edit them with Resource Hacker, from http://rpi.net.au/~a...resourcehacker/. To lighten font colors:

Right-click My Computer.

Select properties.

On the advanced tab, select Performance/Settings.

In the list that opens, select "Use drop shadows..."
If you just want to change the color of the font - just use the method already stated - Desktop - Properties - Appearance - Advanced. When you select ITEMS that include fonts - you can change the color with the selector (right above the Cancel button)
