You're the person who know what you are going to do with that machine, what you are (ever) going to need and what hardware drivers are involved. Also the reason why you remove things (short on HDD space, CD is full, need to install in less than 15 minutes) ? Mind you, fast XP install doesn't mean fast machine result.
