Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

This error continuously appears during the copying phase. Obviously this is not normal.

I am attempting to copy the Windows XP disc so as to add the SATA drivers.

The disc is probably damaged or something wrong with the optical lens of the CD ROM. Try wiping the CD with a smooth cloth, disable antivirus... that's what I usually do. If it doesn't work, you may have to resort to some software for extracting data from damaged media.

This is my first time using nLite and I keep getting the following error:

Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

syndoc66, sounds like you have some data errors on your CD. I suggest you try cleaning your CD carefully, looking for scratches and if you have an optical drive cleaning disc, run it. Good luck, John.
