I am considering buying one of these

Could anyone tell me what sort of performance I would get (it will take 2 x P3 1.2ghz cpus), or would I be better off buying a single P4/AMD XP motherboard and CPU?

:)

Thanks.

well p III chips are very good, but it all fairness, it's probably better if you get a new board and chip. the price difference won't be a lot and it's going to get harder to find a socket 370 board later down the road, i'm having the same problems with finding good slot 1 mobo's. also pIII chips are expensive now, unless you already have the chips it's not really worth it in my opinion. :)

It's all about what you'd use it for... if its to be used for servers or rendering work in 3ds studio max, then go for dual, but if its for word processing, best off with a single cpu!
