Hi, :)
Is there a good link to help me in setting up a server running either Win2k or Win2003 Server editions. Whichever is the easiest.

Tnx...............Irish Bear

Windows Server 2003 was designed to replace Windows 2000 Server, so it is indeed a lot easier to set up this time :)

well 2k3 was designed to replace 2k. I have had nothing but problems with it. I have a rule. I don't implement or test any OS out until it has been on the market for atleast 8 months. I made an exeption with win2k3 because my college was starting to try it out. unfortunately it still has alot of bugs to work out. so to be on the safe side i would choose win2k untill win2k3 is actually up to par.

if you're just trying to install it to a clean hd is no biggie...i am no pro on servers but i've installed it before. there's nothing to crazy about it. the only different screen is one that ask about the type of server/client connection, either 5 users or per server connection..i just leave the default of 5 (i dont have more than 2 pc's at home! :)) the rest is just like a 2k pro install

now for other configuration/server like services....ask a pro!

Here is your one stop shop for getting 2k3 server up and running. Its what i used to get my domain running smoothly in as little time and problems as possible. Good luck with it!!

hey just remember to clear all errors for which ever OS u install. That is key! That and make sure all ur drivers r compatible and good. Other than that, u should be good to go.
