Greetings all,
I am fairly new to WDS and hope this is a good place to start. Here is the situation i'm in:
I have a WDS server set up with a few images for XP. The image in question is called "LaptopV2.wim"
This image when installed I notice has a folder containing drivers for about 5 different machines. They are located on c:\drivers\machinename1
C:\drivers\machinename2 etc
I am getting a new line of laptops that have new hardware and want to include the new drivers. The image is older so I find i'm also installing a whole lot of windows updates afterwards.
So in the end I'd like to update this image to include the new drivers as well as the additional windows updates. Is this possible?
Thanks

Drop the image to the new machine update as needed, recapture and deploy. There is a limit to the number of times you can sys prep an image so you may have issues depending upon how your image was first done.

WDS does not natively support Windows XP. Are you using mixed mode and RIS for XP?
