Update to Version 4.0

Thanks to "Wolfgang16" some installation issues could be fixed. (DivX was not registered in some cases).
Besides that, the codec pack was cleared out:
- WMV files were removed (I guess the majority already uses WMP11 and the codecs coming along with it.)
- Indeo files were also removed, because XP SP3 already contains the new files
- The downloadable .EXE is not a self-installer anymore, just in case you accidentaly double-clicked it. It installs with the silent switch "codecs_4.0.exe /s")
- Updated codes, see 1st posting

How do I intergrate the codec pack with nLite? I'd like this codec to be installed as Windows XP installs.

Unfortunately I do not own Vista.
Did you try it in Vista? Does it work?

Otherwise I would suggest you try the Vista Codec Pack (http://shark007.net/...decpackage.html)

I've uploaded a 'dangerous', (RE:Post #781) version of the latest update v5.5.

It will therefore install silently if you accidentally double-click it, and is therefore compatible with a live system as well as unattended use.

Mediafire download: codecs_5.5.zip #(will not stay there for ever)

The codec package from the 1st post will also install silently, if you use the "/s" switch:
"codecs_5.5.exe /s"

Why do I have probs with playing divx files? Other codecs seemed to have registered fine, but the divx didn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong?

Is anyone here, who has the old script files from the 2.2~2.5 codec pack?
Searching the script files who listed the Quicktime registering Code, such as codec.cmd, codec.inf, codec.reg.
Because they have put the Support for the QT-Lite!

Want to install the Quicktime in WinXP system, without the unnecessary stuff.

thanks in advance.

Install Win98SE, then updates, post run a downloaded video from youtube and play it WMP9
Codec Pack 5.5 Install, restart and try again. Do not reproduce.
Install Kazaa Lite Mega Codec Pack 3.45 reboot and try again. It worked.
Codec Pack 5.5 brings the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC?
