So whats this "Real & Quicktime Alternative" I have searched for this and been unable to find anything - does someone have a link to this topic
Also there is no mention of whats different between 1.4 and 1.5 - Normally changes are in bold? Are they the same

i've installed the full Unattended Codec-Pack and when i go to play DVD Video on Windows Media Player 10 i receive the following error: "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a problem occurred with digital copyright protection.".
Anyone knows why this is happening?
Thanks in advance.

I personally dislike WMP9/10, but added the optimum of files needed to play (almost) everything flawlessly. No DVD issues here, since the file needed for watching DVD's is normally "CLVSD.ax"

this is the entry in the codec.cmd file, basic version "DEL %D%\L3codeca.acm /Q"

this file is obsolete, since it's replaced by l3codecp.acm
you'll need this e.g. for encoding mp3 in virtualdub (l3codeca that comes with XP is some kind of "lite version" that can just encode up to 56kpbs, l3codecp up to 320kbps)

As it doesn't seem to have been updated to the 2.5 version, I would think it would be these from the 2.3 version:

Browser Plugins) * DivX Pro 5.2.1 [Decoder] * XviD 1.0.3 [Encoder/Decoder] * Windows Media 8 [version 8.0.0.371] * Windows Media 9 VCM [version 9.0.1.369] [Encoder] * Windows Media 10 [version 10.0.0.3646] * Cyberlink DVD decoder [version 6.0.0.1006] * Elecard MPEG 2 Demultiplexer [version 2.0.84.30429] * Ligos Indeo XP [version 5.2820.15.58] * Intel Indeo [version 4.51.16.2] * Intel Indeo [version 3.24.15.03] * Intel I.263 [version 2.55.1.16] * MS MPEG-4 [version 4.1.0.3927] [Encoder] * On2 VP6 6.2.6.0 [Encoder/Decoder] * Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 DirectShow decoder [version 1.9.0.311] * Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec for MSACM [version 3.3.0.44] * WMA DirectShow decoder [version 8.0.0.4487] * VobSub [1.0.0.9] + CPL * AC3 Filter 1.01a RC5 + CPL * Ogg Vorbis [version 1.1.0] * GSpot 2.52 beta 1 build 2004-09-15

I already searched in google but i didn't find anything.
And yes, i've tried another player, Zoom Player. And i cannot also play DVD's. I think that is a problem with the decoder.
Anyone had the same problem?
Thanks.
