polas4 is referring to MSFN's guide, in case you were wondering. Be sure to enable "OEM Preinstall" in nLite's General tab within the Unattended section.

thank for answer but if i'm not wrong method you mention will add files in i386 folder after windows installation,but if we see customize windows like windows black edition bootable dvd,there is files in i386 folder of installation disk.if im wrong please guide me

You're not wrong, deathdragon. It's just that adding files directly to I386 on the source disc can be more complicated, especially when adding many files. Doing so requires editing DOSNet.inf and TxtSetup.sif for certain, and may also require editing SysOC.inf and creating a custom INF for certain installation tasks and file destinations.

How much do you really want to know? What do you intend to do?

"BlackXP" is warez and as such is illegal and frowned upon here.

You have however come to the right place. Please browse the nLite and nLite addon sections of this forum.

DO NOT mention warez here again or you will get banned rather quickly by the staff here. Most of them are very intolerant.

Why do you like to add files to i386 folder?

Do you like to use files at windows installation?

There is no general answer. There are different cases.

Which kind of files do you like to add?

A driver, a application or another one?

A mass storage drivers example:

And read MSFN Forum Rules 1.a again

why don,t you try to add file by making cab just collect file what you want to add in your slim streamed windows xp

open command prompt and type makecab filename and add this to i386 and open txtsetup.sif

and type under [sourceDisksFiles]

filename = code

here is some code

1,,,,,,,2,0,0 extract file to system32

1,,,,,,,,3,3 extract file to cursors

check [WinntDirectories] in txtsetup.sif for more

for example i will add oemlogo.bmp and oeminfo.ini in system32. i will open command and i will type makecab oemlogo.bmp and makecab oeminfo.ini that will change my file oemlogo.bmp to oemlogo.bmp to oemlogo.bm_ and oeminfo.ini to oeminfo.in_ and i will copy these file to i386 and i will open txtsetup.sif and type under [sourceDisksFiles]

oemlogo.bmp = 1,,,,,,,2,0,0

oeminfo.ini = 1,,,,,,,2,0,0

for more about this study txtsetup.sif see that carefully

ok you want to add aero snap to your slipstreamed window by making cab and its .inf file. it is not too much hard. you can do it but i don't have aero snap yet but i will add Typshala. i think you will have it and you know what file does it contain. so just make all file to .cab by using any cab maker but i am using winCe cab maker.

i had made Typshala.cab and Typshala.inf file. with makecab in cmd i made Typshala.inf to Typshala.in_ and i had added it to i386 folder in TXTSETUP.SIF

i had typed under [sourceDisksFiles]

Typshala.cab= 100,,,,,,_x,,3,3

Typshala.inf= 100,,,,,,,20,0,0

and in dosnet.inf

d1,wmp11.cab

d1,wmp11ext.inf

and my typshala runs autoatically at windows startup. so here is typshala.inf
