Can I somehow copy all settings from one XP installation to another XP

Assume I have a well running XP installation on my desktop computer.

Now I bought a new notebook computer with pre-installed WinXP and would like to have the same settings

as on my existing Win XP.

Is there a way to copy all relevant settings from one XP installation to another?

This copying should NOT pay attention to drivers. Instead the following settings are e.g. important :

- Taskbar settings (auto-hide,...)

- WinExplorer settings (show extensions, show hidden files,...)

- Regional settings and keyboard taskbar indicators

- SystemRestorePoint settings (which partition to monitor)

- InternetExplorer settings (proxy, Advanced+Tab handling,...)

If you suggest a solution:

Does this work for different systems (32bit vs 64bit) as well?

Does this work for different Win XP languages (e.g. english vs. german; Pro vs. Home) as well?

Matt

Just export the relevant registry keys and import them into the other system. You can use Regshot(download link is the Скачать button) to find where they are located.

Don't know much about XP 64bit. Home and Pro should be the same.
