The Search module has not any more the preference (needed as I see it) to ask for "view results as threads" and "view results as posts".

as there is little sense in adapting things to deal with settings that are going to soon change again.

This depends more on Invision than me.

Give me some links that doesn't work please.

There must be still some misunderstanding.

Most of the various "old versions" of the links do not work.

That's why I put together my half @§§ed converter.

Though poorly written it has been working with most links generated up to the new (right now last-before-current) syntax.

From the converter "source code":
http://jaclaz.alterv...ert_address.htm

//Examples:
//1. http://www.msfn.org/...000-hotfix-list
//2. http://www.msfn.org/..._0
//3. http://www.msfn.org/...cs-hp-pavilion- dv6-2150ee/page__view__findpost__p__932895
//4. http://www.msfn.org/...all-wizard-wpi/
//5. http://www.msfn.org/...aneous-f98.html
//6. http://www.msfn.org/...nt_t106064.html
//7. http://www.msfn.org/...gh-t143022.html
//8. http://www.msfn.org/...post__p__916384
//9. http://www.msfn.org/...19-page-20.html

Curently:
Examples #1÷#5 work now "as they are" (with the small side issue that current board doesn't "parse" #3 correctly)
Examples #6÷#9 still correspond to "a suffusion of yellow".

If you submit those same links to the converter, the results are:
1. http://www.msfn.org/...howtopic=142942
2. http://www.msfn.org/...ndpost&p=915865
3. http://www.msfn.org/...ndpost&p=932895
4. http://www.msfn.org/...hp?showforum=93
5. http://www.msfn.org/...hp?showforum=98
6. http://www.msfn.org/...howtopic=106064
7. http://www.msfn.org/...howtopic=143022
8. http://www.msfn.org/...ndpost&p=916384
9. http://www.msfn.org/...ic=137119&st=20

ALL working.

The current board "transforms" them to:
1. http://www.msfn.org/...00-hotfix-list/
2. http://www.msfn.org/...865#entry915865
3. http://www.msfn.org/...895#entry932895
4. http://www.msfn.org/...all-wizard-wpi/
5. http://www.msfn.org/...-miscellaneous/
6. http://www.msfn.org/...ld-environment/
7. http://www.msfn.org/...er-through-dos/
8. http://www.msfn.org/...384#entry916384
9. http://www.msfn.org/...ue/page__st__20

Problem is that NOW the board seemingly generates yet another syntax, NOT among the examples, and thus the converter doesn't work for them, I am asking if this current syntax is stable, so that I can update the converter to take care of them too.

In detail:
#1 is OK
#2 does NOT work in the converter
#3 does NOT work in the converter
#4 is OK
#5 is OK
#6 is OK
#7 is OK
#8 does NOT work in the converter
#9 does NOT work in the converter

In practice ANY link that contain the "page__p__" OR the "page__st__" part is not working - this is the "new" syntax" I was talking about.

I can confirm that right now (Opera 9.52) NO "buttons" are working for me.
I will try later with another PC or after a reboot to make sure it's not something "on my side".

EIDT: Now everything "button related" works.

The CODE tag has a problem, but CODEBOX works fine in its place. So try using CODEBOX if CODE isn't working for you until this issue is fixed.

IPB has had code/codebox issues since it began. We had issues off and on with the 1.3.x and 2.x versions of the board with code/codebox of a similar nature, so this doesn't surprise me. We're aware of the issue, and so is IPB (and we're up to 3.1.4, but without a fix), but until they fix it (again, until they break it again sometime after they fix it.....) trip's recommendation of codebox is unfortunately the only option right now, as it was with 1.3.x and 2.x board revisions that had similar code/codebox bugs. We apologize for the inconvenience, but given how old the bug is I'm not sure we'll have a good fix forthcoming anytime in the near future.

Currently (25 November 2010):
Examples #1÷#7 work now "as they are" (STILL with the small side issue that current board doesn't "parse" #3 correctly, i.e. the link is not "clickable" AND, since it's first part is shortened, you CANNOT even copy and paste, the only way to get it is to "Reply to topic" and copy and paste the original text in the "Quote" part or "Copy link" on the first part, paste it somewhere - like a notepad .txt - , then copy and paste the second part, then add it at the end of where you copied it tremorarily)
Examples #8 and #9 STILL correspond to "a suffusion of yellow".

I would like to remember it also :unsure:, I found it at the time I put together the converter, really cannot say where it was originally found. :blushing:

I think it was in the post and was malformed, hence space. Anyway, almost there.
