Hi blackwingcat,

THAT'S WONDERFULLLLLLLLLLL! :thumbup :w00t: :D

Thanks for your kindness; you're a very helpful person BWC !!!!

I'll download it just to honor your work, but i think i'll wait version 15 to test it on a real environment ;)

On the contrary if you think that is strictly indispensable to test version 10 tell me, please!

Regards

I don't know if this is worth considering, but once my reverse-engineered kernel32 rewrite is completed, that should be a real game-changer for extending the kernel. I'm creeping up on the 75% mark for the first cut at it (668/902 exported routines implemented in MSVC 2005).

A kernel32 rewrite necessarily must go hand-in-hand with matching csrsrv and basesrv, but those rewrites are completed, barring any issues people here find in my sources.

@blackwingcat

Some time ago you prepared Windows2000-KB954434-INTL.exe. The files included in it are:

HAL.DLL 5.0.2195.6692
halaacpi.dll 5.0.2195.6692
halacpi.dll 5.0.2195.6692
halapic.dll 5.0.2195.6692
halborg.dll 5.0.2195.6692
halmacpi.dll 5.0.2195.7007
halmps.dll 5.0.2195.7007
halsp.dll 5.0.2195.6692

There are newer version of the three files available in KB835730:

Halaacpi.dll 5.0.2195.6988
Halacpi.dll 5.0.2195.6988
Halmacpi.dll 5.0.2195.6988

Would it be possible to update the three files in KB954434?

Does this mean that you can use PAE with all editions of Win2k? What's the highest limit? Is it 8 or 32 GB?

Hi blackwingcat thought I'd let you know that I couldn't use the latest kernel July 10th Version. It installed but wouldn't get past the start screen and a blue stop error. It was related to the video. Was able to uninstall in safe mode and put 17c back. Works good again.

Old ati agp driver may have problem.

What I've got is the ATI AGP 4600 series. The last good drivers to work with this card are the 912 beta. I've tried nearly everyone of the 10 and 11 drivers and they would either crash the system or certain sites like youtube video wouldn't play properly.

If we can get through Firefox's 17 version without it breaking again then the Kernelex 17c will do for me because FF17 is next for their ESR and that lasts right through 2014.

Kernel Core package does not depend on Extended Kernel .
videoprt.sys may have a problem in Kernel Core .

I created test version other videoprt.sys.
Please try to replace one in 'http://w2k.flxsrv.or...7a-x86-INTL.exe'

I don't know if this has anything to do with what I have on my system, but when I install the extended core and I right click on my computer and click properties, explorer crashes. I also get errors at startup, I think they have to deal with the intel extreme graphics controller software.

It looks like wmp10 build 4068's(old version) bug.

It almost goes BSoD if there are any problem in Kernel Core.

I will try a newer driver later after work. I did not install Windows Media Player either. But I made sure that I followed the steps we talked about to fix it and it made no difference. I should mention I have UURollup 10 installed as well.

@SearanoX

This is a quote from my website...

BWC / WB kernel

Files from both unofficial kernels are already included in UURollup (ENU) so installing any of them after UURollup (ENU) is highly unrecommended. Especially installing BWC kernel will likely make the system unbootable because explorer.exe will not start. Fortunately, in such a case you can still boot into Safe Mode and uninstall it from there.

Oh, I see. I figured this was slightly different than the actual kernel extension. I will try uninstalling UURollup and then retest and see what happens.

I hope you didn't install BlackWingCat's kernel after UURollup... If you did then don't even try to uninstlall UURollup first  You need to uninstall them chronologically so first BWC kernel, then UURollup, and then you can reinstall the kernel.

blackwingcat does this mean that you updated it to possibly fix the blue stop error?

Anybody else having problems with the latest Java 7 Update 5? It appears broken for me so I went back to Update 3.

I can see that you've changed the boot screen in your newest kernel. I think you forgot to change the text to English ;)
