ChrisR:

I tried "Tweak\Display script Advanced option --- Enable switch user to admin". The PE will have error on start up. It says " The specified domain either doesn't exit or could not be contacted".

I don't think the "admin" user is completely added.

I don't really know what it lacks related for your domainswitch to admin works without concerns here and after changing the password.

Otherwise, again, Do you know how I can test your LSI program in Virtual Machine, VMware or VirtualBox ?

I'm not sure to be able to help you for this case. Compares perhaps drivers between the great MakePE3 and Win7PESE.

Chris:

Thank you for your help. The LSI program can't be test in virtual machine since it needs the actual controller in the system.

Your Win8.1PE works good. I don't have password problem for that. I'm good for now. Is there anyway you can add .NET support to your Win8.1PE?

Is there anyway you can add .NET support to your Win8.1PE?

If you have a program that is compiled for DotNet 4.0-4.5, You can do a test with 2aCD's ".Net Framework" script of Win8PESE. I have not tested.

If you have a program that is compiled for a previous version there is a little work to do on the script before trying.
In Windows 8, 8.1 the feature DotNet 2.0-3.5 is Off by default and must be activated first and for that, the script need some adaptations.

DotNet will come but it depends on the free time and other things... and the script and tests is not the easiest
:)

Unfortunately, my program requires .Net 3.5. I enabled NetFx3 on install.wim and tried 2aCD's script on Windows 8.1. Not luck.

Hi neon2m,

ChrisR wanted me to reply your above post,

Thanks for the hardwork, but it is not feasible with a lot reasons,

since quite out of subject if you are interested we can talk at

   Macro Library Section http://TheOven.org/i....php?board=14.0

Here is another way which is more easly applicable ,

 Using a plugin at

   \Utils\2-MakeShortcuts_PECMD.script ( Title=2 - MakeShortcuts PECMD )

that runs an application (probably with au3)

ex:

ShellExecute,Hide,%Tools%\x86\AU3381.exe,"#$q%ProjectTemp%\PECMD_LNK.au3#$q #$q
%PE_CFG%#$q #$q%Target_Sys%\PECMDlink.ini#$q"

you can read (than delete) %PE_CFG% shortcut entries ,write to PECMDlink.ini ....

I am sure you understand what I mean.

Futher, if you like the idea and think working on it, share around Plugin Section

http://TheOven.org/i....php?board=31.0

Google Translation

'PECMD' There are a lot of features.
However, the
'Shell Swap' was used only.
So, I wanted to show.
A more reliable and faster.

No need to delete the existing script.
If only just to add.
Of course, some of the modification should be very.

Hi neon2m,

If you want to test this in Win7, Win8PESE or Win8.1SE http://sdrv.ms/1l1FuMp

Use makeshorcuts, to create shortcuts .lnk at BuildTime.

No need for pecmd Link or shortcuts.exe to create .lnk.
Shortcuts.exe does not create .lnk, if file %UserProfile%\AppData\ExplorerLnk_processed.txt exist.

No, my google works fine , but it needs meaningful keywords (you know, like hybrid boot, BIOS/UEFI, or even oscdimg suckz :w00t: while mkisofs rulez ;) and the like ...)

For future memory:

To recap: Symptoms are that the hybrid-boot BIOS/UEFI CD created with oscdimg only boots on some BIOSes, while simply hanging or error-beeping with a black screen on others. (Booting the UEFI part of the CD always works.)

The problem is that on the oscdimg command line there is no possibility to enter a switch like "-boot-load-size 4" as in mkisofs. This results in oscdimg automatically setting boot-load-size in the resulting iso image to the whole size of the grldr file, instead of only 4 sectors like mkisofs. This apparently leads to some BIOSes refusing to boot from the CD.

The fix is rather simple: changing the two bytes in the iso which specify the boot load size ("16 02" for the current grldr) back to "04 00", which instructs BIOS only to load the first 2048 bytes of grldr - just as it would when created with mkisofs, and which is also the reason why this problem only occurs with oscdimg and not with mkisofs.

Thanks.

Think simple

on google even writing:

LarsH create iso site:theoven.org

works to find above

I lack time and motivation at the same time.
