my xperf trace shows a lot of CPU usage caused by those IE9 RC functions:

mshtml.dll->CMarkup::ClearRunCaches, mshtml.dll->CTreeNode::VoidCachedInfo and mshtml.dll->CTreeNode::VoidCachedNodeInfo

Any ideas what they do?

Ask Microsoft? Might want to wait and see if they still exhibit symptoms in the release. It's quite a few builds after the RC available previously.
