Is WUD compatible with nLite? I also read this on Wikipedia:

Adding patches to the install source is also another time saver. However, not all (Windows) patches can be applied in this fashion and one disadvantage is that if it is discovered that a certain patch is responsible for later problems, said patch cannot be removed without using an original, non-slipstreamed install CD.

Windows Update Downloader just downloads the updates. nLite slips them in. Compatibility has no bearing (not relevant).

And yes the article is correct.

Does that mean if I used an official ISO of Microsoft XP Home with SP3 and slipstreamed RAID drivers, not a Service Pack, and I ever have to remove a problematic Windows update, I can't?

You're better off using an update pack too up date your XP Home disc, it would include all post-SP3 updates, here's a link to an up-to-date pack that was made by user_hidden:-

You can use nLite to slipstream the updates into your xp installation.
