brutus1234
Well, I'm slipstreaming hotfixes into my win2000 subfolder and hfslip prints out messages I cannot fully understand.Windows2000-KB980232-x86-ITA.EXETEMP\mrxsmb.sysTEMP\rdbss.sys2 File copiatiWindows2000-KB981349-x86-ITA.EXETEMP\vbscript.dll1 File copiatiWindows2000-WindowsMedia9-KB973540-x86-ITA.exeLa sintassi del nome del file, della directory o del volume è incorretta.TEMP\spupdsvc.exeTEMP\wmp.dllTEMP\wmpdxm.dll3 File copiatiWindows2000-WindowsMedia-KB952069-x86-ITA.exeLa sintassi del nome del file, della directory o del volume è incorretta.La sintassi del nome del file, della directory o del volume è incorretta.TEMP\wmnetmgr.dllTEMP\wmvcore.dllTEMP\logagent.exeTEMP\generic\netlogon.dllTEMP\generic_copyalways\sp3res.dllTEMP\generic_nodelay\msv1_0.dllTEMP\wm71\wmstream.dllTEMP\wm71\logagent.exe8 File copiatiWindows2000-WindowsMedia-KB954155-x86-ITA.exeLa sintassi del nome del file, della directory o del volume è incorretta.TEMP\wmspdmod.dll1 File copiatiWindows2000-WindowsMedia-KB968816-x86-ITA.exeLa sintassi del nome del file, della directory o del volume è incorretta.La sintassi del nome del file, della directory o del volume è incorretta.TEMP\wmvcore.dll1 File copiatiWindows2000-WindowsMedia-KB975025-v2-x86-ITA.exeTEMP\spmsg.dllTEMP\spuninst.exeTEMP\msaud32.acm3 File copiatiWindows2000-WindowsMedia-KB978695-x86-ITA.exeLa sintassi del nome del file, della directory o del volume è incorretta.TEMP\wmvcore.dll1 File copiatiWindows2000-WindowsMedia-KB979402-x86-ITA.exeLa sintassi del nome del file, della directory o del volume è incorretta.TEMP\spupdsvc.exeTEMP\wmp.dll2 File copiatiWindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exeTEMP\msihnd.dllTEMP\msimsg.dllTEMP\msisip.dllTEMP\msiexec.exe4 File copiatiWindows-KB909520-v1.000-x86-ITA.exeTerminare il processo batch (S/N)? sE:\>The message I worry about is "La sintassi del nome del file, della directory o del volume è incorretta." which means (I translate from Italian) "filename sintax, or directory sintax, or volume sintax is wrong" which in turn may mean "wrong command or filename" or sort of. In this stage, is hfslip calling a command? an executable? I don't know.Note that these messages only appear when slipstreaming Windows Media components (I am slipstreaming WMP9 Series). Are these messages alerts? Are they relevant? Have I to worry about'em?
Yzöwl
These messages are generally nothing to worry about. If I remember the code from the distant past well enough I seem to remember that no supression of error messages was employed in the hotfix extraction processes.
