vlite says "cannot use already installed Windows like C:/Windows

I am following this tutorial: http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-compaq/120228-clean-vista-install-no-activation.html

I am stuck at this part "MAYBE it's already on your hard drive: Your manufacturer MIGHT have copied the contents of the Anytime Upgrade DVD directly onto the hard disk of the computer (sometimes in a hidden folder called "WAU"). The problem is that you cannot directly burn this to a DVD and then boot from it to do a clean install -- you first need to burn the files as a bootable DVD in order to use them. To create a bootable DVD from these files:

1. Download, install, and run vLite

2. Select the location with the WAU folder"

I am trying to add the WAU Registry file that I found in C:\hp\HPQWare but each time I browse from the vlite program I get "Cannot find the expected files. Make sure you select the folder or the drive which contains the Vista installation files, usually on the installation DVD. Note: you cannot use the already installed Windows like C:\Windows.

Is there another WAU folder I need? If so, where is it? I do not have any discs with the computer.

I am running an HP Pavillion Slimeline Vista Home Premium 32bit.

Well, I've never heard of someone using a WAU folder to modify Vista with vLite. And a WAU registry file is not the same as boot.wim and install.wim from the Vista install DVD, so no wonder vLite can't find what's needed. If you have a Vista DVD, why not just use that?
