I have done both preinstall to the image in Audit mode before capture and also install after deployment. It depends on what your install source is, and how you will be activating it I suppose.

you say taht you installed Office 2010 in Audit mode, why is that? is it better than the normal Control+Shift+F3 method?

My Windows images deploy to Audit Mode, not to OOBE, but to include Office in the recovery partition it is installed with the OS.

Do you create the Windows 7 image too? If you are using OA, you should be consulting your Partner rep to get the supported method of deploying Office 2010.

no, i'm not using any official method, i'm just a home user who wants to have updated images with all my apps and drivers, i seem to reinstall often, makes life easier.

by installed with teh OS, do you mean presinstalled in teh Image, or installed along side the image?
