i'm trying to capture an image of a VHD, i keep getting ImageX Error 5, wtf do i do?

i am mounting said VHD on Windows 7 using disk manager, it is NOT set to read only

i'm using GimageX, i syspreped, then the VM rebooted, it said starting services, then it said installing devices, and i turned it off, now when i boot it up again, it says it was rebooted during install, and has to be reinstalled, including all my customizations and codecs and everything

Dont reboot after you generalize, choose instead to shutdown, then boot into your primary OS, mount your vhd and capture it
