i've read some post but i don't understand what switch must i use for directx9b redist!!!!i don't want to use dx9opk because i want to install my ITALIAN DX9b!!!how can i do this....?i don't want slipstream it also...

Folks,
You have to hexedit the dxsetup.exe file and at offset 0x33e2 change 74 to EB:

I have included a jpeg of my hex.

Should then be able to install using:

ECHO.
ECHO Installing DirectX 9.0b
ECHO Please wait...
start /wait %systemdrive%\install\DirectX9b\dxsetup.exe /opk

or you can use /windowsupdate as the switch

I used the hex-edited dxsetup.exe downloaded from the Net. I saw the link on this forum. But it does not work.

Grab the dxsetup.exe file from the DirectX 8.1 redist in your own language.

i need to hex-edit it or not?only must i put dxsetup.exe (8.1 version) in the same folder of dx9b and overwrite the existing dxsetup.exe (9b version) and use the switch /opk?

I heard it already supports the silent install switch, so no hex-editing necessary.
