I have a gateway desktop computer. My Kapersky is updated. I went to start my computer and windows would not load it just kept showing the loading bar. Then I tried to start in safe mode and it showed about 20 lines and then froze ( no matter what safe mode option I choose). I replaced the small battery on the mother board and that didn't help at all. I don't know what to do next.
thank you

Do a repair install if you can. Not sure what type of CD you have and if it supports that.

If the loading bar freeze, then you might have an hardware problem like a failed ram stick or a cooling problem.
If the loading bar doesn't but never disapear, how long did you wait ? If more than 30 minutes and it is doing the same in safe mode, then try removing any not needed hardware (like an usb drive/printer or any recently added component) or simply remove the CD/DVD in cd/dvdrom drive.
