Ben_j
I just got my new PC, and something odd is happening : I can copy from my server (on the same local network. Both in 1000T ethernet) to my computer, but whenever I try to copy from my computer to my server, it's impossible. It displays "calculating" for a few minutes then copies at 15kB/s... It worked fine with my previous computer.
allen2
If you server hardware support chimney and is a windows 2003 there is a bug when chimney is enabled and it might do the described behaviour.
Tripredacus
Also, if your server is 2008, and your clients are not Vista/7 then you can also disable the extra SMB messages that 2008 uses designed to communicate with modern OS. Best I've ever been able to get is a 45% upload to the server.
