Is there a work around or fix for cdshell 2 gig limit? I seem to have problems when my image over 2 gig. Or am I missing something?

did you modify your image with something like winiso or ultraiso? does it pass cdshell and boot into a windows 2k/2k3 or xp setup? Have you extracted your bootfile and see where it points? is your cdshell folder 'boot' or cdsh'?

If you are using VMWare or Virtual PC (one of them - I'm not sure which) has a problem using the iso file over 2GB.

If this is the case mount it in something like Virtual DEAMON and mount it that way.

Virtual PC is not working correctly with Images that are greater than 2GB. But as said above you can solve this by using the daemon tools.
I think itīs always better to mount the image and use it like a DVD-Drive. Solves many problems.
And donīt use WinISO or UltraISO to create or modify your Images. It works for CD-Images up to 700MB but wonīt work for DVD-Images. Youīl get many crazy errors. So donīt do that. Use cdimage forn this site to make your ISO.

Thanks to all for the info. I misread the thing about the 2 gig limit. I thought it was for cdimage. I also did convert my fat32 to ntfs. Things seem ok now.

I've got one more question. My $OEM$ folder doesn't copy to the harddrive. It's located
at "C:\ROOT\SETUP\WINXPPRO\$OEM$". I have set Oempreinstall=1. Installation works fine but $OEM$ folder is not copied to harddrive. Here's part of my winnt.sif file:

[Data]
AutoPartition=1
MsDosInitiated="0"
UnattendedInstall="Yes"

[Unattended]
UnattendMode=FullUnattended
OemPreinstall=Yes
OemSkipEula=Yes
DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore
FileSystem=ConvertNTFS
Repartition=Yes
UnattendSwitch="yes"
WaitForReboot="No"
AutoActivate = No
ProgramFilesDir="C:\My Program Files"
CommonProgramFilesDir="C:\My Program Files\My Common Files"
KeyboardLayout="US"

[GuiUnattended]
AdminPassword=*
EncryptedAdminPassword=NO
OEMSkipRegional=1
TimeZone=35
OemSkipWelcome=1
ProfilesDir="C:\Documents and Settings\"

This works fine for my XP unattended install. Ant ideas?
