How do I install winace 2.5 with a silent switch? and how would I be able to input my serial number to unlock the shareware? Thank you.

Hi,
I have the same problem
, but I did not find a solution
The workaround I used, is to make a snapshot of the installation (i.e. WinInstall LE) and it worked.
Greetings Marco

i think you'll need an autoit script
a stupid question... why don't you move to winrar? it can manage .ace compression too

3 major differences? this will be easy ...

1. winrar has all the features of winace including for example the hability to create sfx-archives, a shell extension and a file manager. difference is that winrar is more customizable and you can even set the images and icons of your sfx module.
2. winrar supports more compression formats, including ace and the newers 7zip compression.
3. latest winrar 3.50 beta support toolbar themes. you can now change the apparence of the program (i mention this because i made a couple of themes that are present on rarlabs website

1. sfx-archives, shell extension, file manager and icons for sfx are also available in winace.
2. winrar can archive only rar and zip as far as i know.
3. toolbar themes??
winace does this:
· Compression formats: ACE, ZIP, LHA, MS-CAB
· Decompression formats: ACE, ZIP, LHA, MS-CAB, RAR, ARC, ARJ, GZIP, TAR, BZip2, ISO-Images, ZOO

Ok guys, lets get back on topic. And for the record I'm with Itanium on this one. I love WinAce and he loves me back.
So does anyone have any idea to stop the window at the end which asks you if you want shortcuts and shell integration? It's really messing up my software package that is meant to be silent.
Edit:
More info. It looks like it calls up something called helpinst.exe near the end which confirms what shortcuts will be made. It seems to finish the job when you close that process. Any ideas on how to kill it when it pops up?
