Dunno if this is showing globally or just in the uk, but... I don't know about anyone else but I reckon this is the best ad I've see in a long time. I'm not usually of much of a fan of adverts, but every now and again one comes along that stands out a mile. In case anyone hasn't seen it, its done like a time-lapse film over the 30 years of the Golfs' life - we see the people, the cars and the surrounding fashions and technology change, and basically - it impressed the hell out of me
It's not a technique I can recall being used in an advert before, and of course it's been put together by (or under the influence of) the Germans, so it's bloody good quality!
The clincher for me is the choice of music. In case anyone is wondering, it's the Aphex Twin remix of LFOs' (thats Low Frequency Oscillation, from Sheffield UK not the cheesy boy band) Simon From Sydney, from the Warp Remixes 3 cd..... I feel quite anoracky knowing that..... :)
Anyways, er... I like it! Anyone else?
