Wirehead
I have a PC that will not allow me to connect to the internet from any application, including a browser. I can however go to the command line and successfully ping any address, receive a response, and no lost packets. This is however limited to only one user account on the PC. All other user accounts can connect fine. Any suggestions? Deleting the account is the last thing I want to explore.Thank you...
joker3829
have you tried using an ip address in the browser? http://69.147.76.15. is yahoo.com. If it works than you have a DNS cache issue. Flushing the DNS cache should resolve the issue. I come to this conclusion based on your statements. Pining an IP address works fine. Using a name in a browser does not. Can you ping another computer on your network by name? My guess would be no.Command line C:>ipconfig /flushdns
