Just wondering if its possible to write a batch file that will open a telnet session to a switch, and enter the password???
Obviously, its easy to open a connection to a switch with a simple telnet command, but I am then prompted to enter the password to access the switch... can this be done from a batch file or a type of script?
I am trying to automate the backup of the config of a switch...
Cheers

Hi Drscouse-
I use a free utility to automate this process for me. Its called CatTools and is located here: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/
It works great with Cisco 2950's. Easy to use and easy to schedule.
I tried a batch file before and never had any success and I am not good with scripts or programming of any kind so this free prog works well for me.
