Hi folks :thumbup

A customer has come to me with an Advent 1015 nordic laptop....I have been looking at upgrading memory for him and checking updates etc....

When I click on Windows Update it opens a window that is entirely in English, but everything else is in Swedish?

It is a computer line that is bought in by a local superstore....crap is my opinion...but there you go...

Why would Updtate be in English?
Can I change this?

Never had one of these before :w00t:
Any thoughs would be gratefully received.....

Thanks!

You should check Regional and Language Options in Control Panel. Is everything there set to Sweden/Swedish?

maybe some MUIs are replaced. Run sfc /scannow to detect and fix corrupted files.

When you say Windows Update, do you mean the website is in English?
Also, if this notebook connected to the internet via a Swedish ISP?

Try (re)installing the latest Windows Update Agent, here is v7.4.7600.229 from KB982010
