JedClampett
I think I must have struck oil again, finding this forum all about Windows. I came here via DriverPacks.net link to the UXPCD tutorial. I'm trying to learn how to rebuild my own slipstreamed XP Home Edition recovery CD, with my preferred applications. So I guess I'll just mosey on over to http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/1/and see what this is all about. Can't spend too long there though, as granny's got some of her tasty vittles on the stove Edited August 30, 2011 by JedClampett

JedClampett
Hi gUiTaR_mIkE. I'd like to put my picture at the top of the left hand column on all my posts, like where your Windows icon is now.TIA Jed Edit: I found it now - it was the Avatar. I thought I'd set that - done it now Edited August 30, 2011 by JedClampett
bphlpt
Just for you, Jed:I ran across this while cleaning out some files, (paper), has to be more than 30 years old. I don't know the original source. I thought that anybody else as old as I am might also enjoy it.For all you young wippersnappers, Google "The Beverly Hillbillies" and find the theme song - or just go here - http://www.metacafe.com/watch/2231298/beverly_hillbillies_opening_theme/Y'all know the tune...The Computer HillbilliesCome and listen to a story 'bout a man named JedA poor college kid, barely kept his family fedBut then one day he was talkin' to a recruiterWho said, "They pay big bucks if ya work on a computer..."UNIX, that is... CRTs... Workstations...Well, the first thing ya know ol' Jed's an EngineerThe kinfolk said "Jed, move away from here"They said "Arizona is the place ya oughta be"So he bought some donuts and he moved to Ahwatukee...Intel, that is... dry heat... no amusement parks...On his first day at work, they stuck him in a cubeFed him more donuts and sat him at a tubeThey said "Your project's late, but we know just what to doInstead of 40 hours, we'll work you 52!"OverTime, that is... unpaid... mandatory...The weeks rolled by and things were looking badSchedules started slipping and some managers were madThey called another meeting and decided on a fixThe answer was simple... "We'll work him sixty-six!"Tired, that is... stressed out... no social life...Months turned to years and his hair was turning greyJed worked very hard while his life slipped awayWaiting to retire when he turned 64Instead he got a call and escorted out the doorLaid off, that is... de-briefed... unemployed...Now the moral of the story is listen to what you're toldCompanies will use you and discard you when you're oldSo gather up your friends and start your own firmBeat the competition, watch the bosses squirmMillionaires, that is... Bill Gates... Steve Jobs...Addendum:Outsourced, that is... India... China...Now poor Jed is back out shootin' for some food.Cheers and Regards
JedClampett
bphlpt - I've NEVER seen those words before and that is SOOO funny . Has anyone actually recorded those words to the original theme music? If not I reckon it should be recorded for some overworked admins to play as and when required - just to let their boss know how they feel about things.
