i was thinking of buying a set of logitech x 620 speakers
but i was wondering whether you have to have a surround sound card to use them...
or can i just use them on my normal onboard sound, which is pretty old e.g. p3 motherboard (which only has line in, line out, and mic)
Create 6.1 surround sound from 4, 5.1 or 6.1 sources - from their site - does that mean i have to have a 4, 5.1 or 6.1 card? or only if i want 6.1 surround sound?
thanks,
cazzman

those 4.1 5.1 6.1 7.1 etc usually have different plugs if not
u can plug them into 1 jack by buying those jack merger thing. hehe I don't know if they have a name
but if wouldn't make any sense u would have 4-8 speakers laying out there but it wouldn't be surround.
1. u can get another sound card
2. or u can get creative audigy 2nx..

I have the Logitech Z-640 speakers, and they sound way better with a surround sound card, Audigy 2 especially!
