TY2 Posted December 9, 2011 Share Posted December 9, 2011 I restored an old PC to Windows 98 Second Edition to play games.What I did was completely reinstall the operating system (Windows 98 Second Edition).After the installation I installed Internet Explorer 6Then when I try to run Windows Update it doesnt work.Neither does the site h__p://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com(I dont want to post a live link thats why I put the __)And the site wont even load.My question is:Does Microsoft still run the Windows 98 update site?I did the same thing last year with the same PC, and it did work fine.I dont know where else to ask. Epic fail when I tried it before, the updating silently fails, when I come back to the web site, it just prompts me to install the same updates again!
